Ernst Haas (1921–1986) is acclaimed as one of the most celebrated and influential photographers of the 20th century and considered one of the pioneers of colour photography. The Austrian-American photographer bought his first camera at the age of 25. From then he became an avid documentarian and only a mere 10 years later was elected to be part of the historic ‘Family of Man’ exhibition at the MoMA in New York. Haas photographed Albert Einstein in his study at the University of Princeton for Vogue in 1951. It was this photograph that was exhibited at the MoMA in 1955. This print is book mounted and sits in a beautiful black-stained Ash frame. Total framed dimensions are 44 x 52 x 3.4 cm. Please allow 3-6 weeks for framing and shipping.
