Music photographer Gered Mankowitz shot press images for Jimi Henrdrix, his bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell, in his London studio (Mason’s Yard) in 1967. ‘Jimi’s jacket’, now world-famous, came from a shop on Portobello market called Lord Kitchener’s Valet, which specialised in old uniforms. This portrait was taken just before ‘Hey Joe’—Hendrix’s first single—became a huge hit. This print is book mounted and sits in a beautiful black-stained Ash frame. Total framed dimensions are 58 x 67 x 3.4 cm. Please allow 3-6 weeks for framing and shipping. Other works are available by this artist, to see a wider selection please contact us.
